Take Exit 24 off Interstate 580 (concurrent with US Rte 395). Drive 6 miles (or 8 minutes) uphill on Mount Rose Highway (State Rte 431). When Mount Rose Hwy transitions from 2 lanes to one lane, we are 3/10 mile further along on the right hand side of the road. We are near The Lodge Bar & Patio.

The main office is ideally situated to serve the local residential communities of Montreux, Galena Forest, St. James Village, Arrow Creek, Saddlehorn, and Callahan Ranch. The Mt. Rose office site is also in proximity to Incline Village and other lakeside neighborhoods. We are close to the slopes of Mt. Rose – Ski Tahoe and Diamond Peak Ski Resort.
We are easily approached by patients coming from Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Virginia City, Truckee and adjacent areas. We offer flexible scheduling to convenience those who travel longer distances as well.
The practice is located on Mount Rose Highway at the timberline elevation between south Reno and Lake Tahoe.
The Mount Rose Scenic Byway Corridor is a pleasant drive through the Sierra mountains!
The entrance to Mountain Medical Practice is on the north side of the building where an emergency or wheelchair accessible vehicle may pull up close if needed.

While visiting with us awaiting your medical evaluation, you may get comfortable indoors in our waiting room or outdoors on our patio, weather permitting.
You may also feel free to stroll over to the coffee and wine bar next door or to check out the adjacent alpine apparel shop.
We will alert you when it’s time to return to the medical office and meet with your health care provider.
Effective June 1, 2026, Mountain Medical Practice will transition to a fully virtual care model with all appointments conducted via secure telemedicine.
